Blackcap for #FirstBirdOfMyDay but with may friends…
I confess I was having my attention diverted by the #RedSquirrels.
There had been some helter-skelter up and down the Wellingtonia/Sequoia but eventually they calmed down and nuts were enjoyed and also hidden away for future nibbling.
Fantastic to see @channel4news.bsky.social celebrating the successes of @scotsquirrels.bsky.social as they get closer to eradicating grey squirrels from #Aberdeen, #Scotland - allowing #redsquirrels to recover. Gives hope for wider red squirrel #conservation. Well done to all involved! #wildlife

Red Squirrels are endangered in Scotland and any opportunity to spend time in forests (especially in dry sunny weather!) is definitely worth the effort

I think some irritation from many of the #Birds that the #RedSquirrels get their own supply of peanuts, hazelnuts and acorns in their lidded box… perhaps jealous of the special treats?
#Redsquirrels Words can't describe what I feel when I remember taking this in my garden. Woodland felled without a thought for them. Enjoy!!

A Nuthatch making a lot of alarm calls for #FirstBirdOfMyDay. I couldn’t see a Sparrow-hawk, let alone the Peregrine so I don’t know what the kerfuffle was all about.
