A portrait orientation view from a pier looking along the shoreline of a long beach as small waves are breaking along its length. It's a bright, warm, sunny day, late in the afternoon. The sky is clear except for some bubbling white clouds on the horizon over a mountain landscape both low and faded with the distance. The beach is to our right and is sandy but dark, more brown than golden. It's shallow in depth back to the treeline of palms and other bushes and it's only sporadically occupied by a few people mostly standing on the sand where waves have rolled in and damped them down. Some bits of flotsam in the form of logs can be seen at the tide line and there are some pop-up gazebos on the beach and further back under the shade of the trees. The water is cloudy with the sand it's churning up but looks warm and inviting.
