Two purple Douglas irises. The flowers each have three main petals, pale purple with a pattern of white lines on them, and three smaller petals in between the large petals (so, a large triangle with a rotated smaller triangle inside). The leaves of the plant are in the background, they are flat strips a bit more than a cm wide.

It made the house shake for several seconds, causing our hanging lights and pots to sway slightly. We also heard some rumbling like quiet thunder, and my husband said he heard the house creak (I don’t recall this). Whoa #SFBA #EarthquakeAlert

Weird experience: I got to the Line G stop at the Salesforce Center just as the FS bus departed in front of us. Then, just after getting off the Line G bus on Solano, I cross the street and that same Line FS bus (not in service at that point) stops to let me cross.
