#InternationalBeaverDay had a fabulous evening at @argatyredkites.bsky.social last summer watching a family of #beavers going about their business. No midges, swallows flitting above loads of #wildlife #insects #slimemould as well.

An old rotting fallen tree-trunk plays host to a large group of bright orange Wolf's milk. Some are interlocking others are separate. They appeared overnight!

Difficult to photograph because of its shiny white metallic appearance, this is slime mould Reticularia lycoperdon aka ‘Moon Poo’ or ‘Caca de Luna’. Apparently edible, with the consistency of marshmallow, I haven’t been brave enough to try it yet ! Dorset 6/3/26 #slimemould
