SUPER TYPHOON THREAT TO THE MARIANA ISLANDS!
Many ensembles are going quite bullish on Invest #90W, with a majority of them showing it reaching a Super #Typhoon peak. Unfortunately, a large cluster of them are close to the Mariana Islands, including #Guam!

Our WWB is getting underway now, enhanced by #Maila to the south. #90W should also develop by late week, keeping this WWB impressively strong into the weekend. The subsurface warm pool will become even stronger as a result as we head towards a strong or super El Niño this winter

Pretty interesting to see just how far west the last few GFS runs have been taking Invest #90W, with all of them having it reaching the #Philippines Sea as a significant #typhoon. Personally believe the chances of this happening are low but it is worth watching!

The Google DeepMind model continues to get more and more bullish for Invest #90W, with the ensemble mean now predicting a CATEGORY 4 to be fairly close to the Mariana Islands. Definitely worth watching this next week!

The two TCs in the SWPAC, combined with strong high pressure over the NCentral Pacific, are expected to make conditions unusually favorable in the WPAC. Invest #90W near Pohnpei is likely to become a tropical depression by late in the week. Guam/CNMI should closely monitor.
