In 2025, FSUPD investigated 76 scooter and e-bike thefts, with most incidents occurring near residence halls and other high-traffic campus areas, including Woodward Avenue, Honors Way, Varsity Drive, and West Call Street. Many of these thefts are opportunistic, involving scooters and e-bikes left unsecured, under-secured, or unattended—even for short periods. The financial impact can be significant, with stolen scooters and e-bikes typically valued between $250 and $1,500.
