A large debris flow deposited approximately 8" of mud across Mulholland Dr, making passage impossible. [no time was given for road reopening]
Fire crews on scene assessed structures above the flow for integrity & safety.

Why, you might ask? Because when orders come, [and they likely will], everyone flees at once and soon you have bumper to bumper cars in either traffic jams or moving at a snails pace. Seldom used roads are normally not nearly as busy because no one thinks of them.
