University student Drake Burroughs enjoys a romance with his girlfriend Kerri Wong. Later, he accidentally causes a safety valve to snap while working on a propulsion system for Metropolis Multiversity.
The rocket exhaust from the propulsion system engulfs Drake Burroughs in anti-matter energy that renders him incapable of safe physical contact.
Professor Vultan from Metropolis Multiversity resolves to put Drake Burroughs’ radiated body into a special suit he has been developing. When the professor attempts to share this news with Drake’s girlfriend, Kerri, she assumes that Drake has died and rushes off to grieve alone.
