The trench diorama now with all of the matches added for the trench section and some tree bark glued down to represent larger rocks. Small bits of sprue, milliput and other materials will be added to make rubble and smaller rocks, giving the entire ground a lot more texture to work with while painting.

The matches are all in place and I have added some tree bark for the larger rocks. Next I will add the support pillars for the sides of the trench and then I will have to focus on adding the rest of the rubble/rocks.

There are basically 3 things left to do on the Defiler.
1. Add the head.
2. Add the right arm holding a flail made of the egg-beater parts.
3. Close the front of the torso and sculpt something cool there.

This Havoc (?) missile launcher was already magnetized. So I just added a magnet on the Defiler's right shoulder to mount the launcher. Now I don't have to worry about it breaking off.

I am not worried about making the Defiler WYSIWYG. I am just adding as many weapons as possible! I added the Reaper Autocannon and the heavy flamer on the front lower crab arms. Both weapons raise/lower on their mounts.

I am doing some more work on the Defiler tonight. After removing the autocannon mount that was the right arm, I needed something to cover the hole. I found this tank hatch in my #bitsbox that was the right size.

Today I played a 1k game of 40k; my Drukari v Tyranids in the Unexploded Ordinance scenario. It was a brutal game but the poisoned weapons proved decisive, a Drukhari victory 45 to 23.
