The fact that the worst has not happened (yet) is cold comfort - there are psychotic criminals at the helm of great powers in this world, and for all our sakes they need removing.

ARMCHAIR PARALYSIS The puppy sleeps lightly and if I budge from this armchair watching over her she loses the psychological safety net I’ve become and the midmorning stasis is shattered. So I sit staring at the library book on the coffee table just out of reach wondering if the trauma ends in the next chapter. Can’t find joy in anything even No Joy by The Beths streaming in my hearing aids because the president is on another toxic rant crushing my newsfeed and it doesn’t make sense to do anything when the world could end tomorrow.
