These new Disneyland Star Wars souvenirs awaken nostalgic memories
Disneyland’s latest Star Wars releases include a Salvaged Protocol Droid popcorn bucket, DJ R-3X mug, and a Jabba’s Sail Barge bucket, and for longtime fans, they immediately feel nostalgic.
## New Star Wars merchandise launches April 28 and May 4
Disneyland’s latest round of Star Wars novelties feels like something bigger. They indicate how Disneyland’s version of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is finally broadening its storytelling beyond a single era and making more room for the characters, vehicles, sounds, and memories that defined Star Wars for generations.
Disney officially begins expanding the land’s timeline at the end of April, bringing in more eras, legacy characters, and even classic John Williams music throughout Black Spire Outpost.
These new collectibles hit differently.

## What’s available
All new items below are available on April 28, except for Jabba’s sail barge bucket, which will be available May 4.
### Salvaged protocol droid bucket (new)
**What it is:**
A detailed popcorn bucket designed to look like a salvaged protocol droid, complete with glowing eyes and a weathered metallic finish.
**Where to find it:**
Popcorn near Star Trader, Alien Pizza Planet, Galactic Grill (seasonal novelty release via mobile order), Kat Saka’s Kettle, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge beverage carts
This one stands out immediately for how close it feels to an actual film prop. The scuffed metal and glowing eyes give it that “lived-in” Star Wars look.
### DJ R-3X mug (new)
**What it is:**
A sculpted mug featuring DJ R-3X, the droid DJ from Oga’s Cantina.
**Where to find it:**
Oga’s Cantina
Early reactions on social media are already pointing to this as the most popular item. It’s one of the first pieces that feels directly tied to Oga’s Cantina itself. If you’ve been inside, you can practically hear the music the moment you see it.
### Bantha sipper (new)
**What it is:**
A character-shaped drink vessel styled after a Bantha, complete with textured fur details and curved horns.
**Where to find it:**
Milk Stand, Alien Pizza Planet, Galactic Grill, Galactic Grill’s seasonal novelty release (mobile order), and Tomorrowland fruit cart
It’s playful and unmistakably Star Wars. The sculpt and scale make it feel like something pulled from Tatooine, and it adds a fun, creature-focused piece to the lineup.
### Lightsaber swizzle sticks (new)
**What it is:**
Rechargeable swizzle sticks designed like Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker lightsabers, glowing red and green.
**Where to find it:**
Galactic Grill, Ronto Roasters, Milk Stand, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, and Galactic Grill’s seasonal novelty release (mobile order)
These are small, but they hit that core Star Wars appeal. The glow, the colors, and the character connection make them an easy add-on that still feels rooted in the saga.
### Jabba’s sail barge bucket (new – starting May 4)
**What it is:**
A popcorn bucket modeled after Jabba the Hutt’s sail barge (the Khetanna), complete with sculpted details and a display-worthy design.
**Where to find it:**
Popcorn near Star Trader, Alien Pizza Planet, Kat Saka’s Kettle, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge beverage carts, Galactic Grill, and Galactic Grill’s seasonal novelty release (mobile order, May 4–6)
This one leans heavily into original trilogy nostalgia. For many fans, it instantly brings back memories of Return of the Jedi and even classic toy playsets that turned living rooms into Tatooine.
What makes these new Disneyland Star Wars collectibles interesting is not just that they look cool. It’s that they feel tied to a bigger change that fans have been wanting for years.
## Remaining fan favorites
These Star Wars treasures are not new and remain available for purchase.
### Tauntaun bucket
**What it is:**
A popcorn bucket shaped like a Tauntaun, complete with saddle and Hoth-inspired detailing.
**Where to find it:**
Kat Saka’s Kettle, popcorn near Star Trader, and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge beverage carts
This one taps into “Empire Strikes Back” nostalgia.
### Endor mug (Yub Nub)
**What it is:**
A carved-style souvenir mug featuring Endor-inspired designs and imagery tied to the Ewoks.
**Where to find it:**
Oga’s Cantina
The design feels like something that could exist within the Star Wars universe itself. The Endor references and carved look bring back memories of “Return of the Jedi” and that iconic Ewok celebration.
### Grinning loth-cat mug
**What it is:**
A sculpted mug featuring a loth-cat with a slightly mischievous expression.
**Where to find it:**
Oga’s Cantina
For fans of newer Star Wars stories like “Rebels,” this one adds a different layer of fandom.
