This Mexican grackle with feathers all askew is in mid-wiggle/splash in a big puddle in the middle of a lawn, keeping one gold eyes on the alert for peeping cellphone cameras.
This is a tighter crop of the first picture which shows the water droplets falling off the happy wet grackle.
This last picture is actually the first in the series, after he landed in the puddle, but before he started splashing. His tail is extended and spread out behind him and he hasn't gotten REALLY wet yet.

It’s #FlyDay and #Splashes for #BirdOfTheDay, which reminded me of an amazing day in January 2008, in #MorroBay…I don’t know what fish were swarming but the local pelicans got into a real frenzy, diving and feasting!
