Running .NET 10.0 on FreeBSD 15.0 Our projects have always been designed with cross-platform support in mind, with C# being the primary chosen language because our flagship project, Nitrocid, was released in 2018. Currently, we are using the modern .NET 10.0 framework released last year to power our projects, but our most recent project, which is Aptivi Development Toolkit (ADT), used Python for its purpose.

We have tested .NET 10.0 on FreeBSD 15.0, and it worked! 🎉

Launchpad projects for our projects have been removed Following the silent deprecation of our usage of Launchpad Projects to manage our projects and their announcements back in 2023 when we released the first beta version of Nitrocid 0.1.0, we have to take a hard decision. Prior to the release of Nitrocid 0.1.0 Beta 1, project release announcements used to be published in Launchpad project announcement board for every version released.

Launchpad projects for our projects have been removed, following the Bazaar shutdown.

Colorimetry and Calendrier demos are now available! When we started 2026, we've introduced two new libraries that are built for the .NET ecosystem, such as C# projects that work in various contexts. While Colorimetry was introduced to provide more applications, such as web and mobile applications, an ability to utilize Terminaux's method of processing colors, Calendrier was introduced to provide a wrapper for some of the most common calendars.

Linux 7.0 RC7 released! Linux 7.0 RC7 is now live for developers and curious users to try out. BassBoom is now available via WinGet! Starting from today, BassBoom, which is a cross-platform MPEG music player written in C# with libmpg123 as the backend library, is now available via WinGet! This was done as part of our package efforts to make installation easier for our users. Previously, BassBoom was made available in the official Ubuntu PPA, the Windows Installer format, the Arch Linux PKGBUILD format, in Chocolatey package format, and in NuGet package format.

One UI 8.5 stable release will not happen on April One UI 8.5 Beta first appeared for the Galaxy S25 series on December 8th, 2025, which allowed users to try out this version of One UI 8.5 in its earliest form. Since then, eight beta versions of One UI 8.5 have been released for the Galaxy S25, while other devices like the Galaxy S24 have received their first One UI 8.5 beta update.

The stable release of One UI 8.5 will not happen this month, but in next month.

UNIX Fourth Edition on SIMH v3.12-5 UNIX v4 was officially released for the DEC PDP-11/45 computers on November 1973, when those computers were the only computers eligible for this version of UNIX. Since then, it was thought to be lost until November 7th when the tape has been rediscovered. Apparently, this tape was sitting somewhere in one of the storage rooms in the University of Utah.

We have tested UNIX Fourth Edition with SIMH v3.12-5, and it worked!
