#OTD 1918 wurde Oskar #Kusch geboren. Der Marineoffizier diente im #wk2 in der dt. #U_Bootwaffe. 1943 übernahm er sein erstes #Kommando auf #U154. Seine regimekritische Haltung war kein Geheimnis. 1944 wurde er von einem seiner Offiziere denunziert & wegen Wehrkraftzersetzung zum Tode verurteilt.

#OTD 1913 wurde der spätere U-Bootkdt. Fritz-Julius Lemp als Sohn eines Offiziers in Tsingtau (Qingdao) geboren. Er versenkte als Kdt. von #U30 am 03.09.39 den Passagierdampfer #Athenia als erstes Schiff im #Wk2. Er starb beim Untergang von U110, beim Versuch die ENIGMA zu vernichten 1941.

#OTD 1918 wurde der Autor, Maler & Sammler Lothar-Günther Buchheim geboren. Im #wk2 begleitete er die Kriegsmarine als Berichterstatter, seine Fotos & Berichte dienten der NS als Propaganda-Material. Das Erlebte floss u.a. in den Roman #Das_Boot ein, der 1971 veröffentlicht & 1981 verfilmt wurde.
Ich hoffe sehr, dass es den #Deutschen an der Bereitschaft fehlt, die eigenen #Kinder im #Kampf gegen irgendwen zu opfern. Schon gar nicht gegen #Russland, denn da sollte man an die 27 Millionen #Opfer in der #Sowjetunion denken, die #Deutschland im #WK2 verursacht hat.

Die Rote Armee begann startete die Gegenoffensive "Operation Uranus". Die Folge war eine Einschließung jener im Kessel von Stalingrad.

So did an air suspension delete on our #wk2 #ecodiesel. Turns out those don't really work on 2015+ with auto leveling headlights!
